While getting colonics I discovered that I have lots of (odorless) gas. Researching this I've come to suspect that I have low HCL (stomach acid). A recommendation is 1/2 a lemon in water 20 minutes before each meal. I'm going to try this and see if my colonics scheduled for next week are any different. Because organic limes are easier to get right now than organic lemons, I decided to do it with limes. I squeezed a whole lime. I stirred into the juice, 1Tablespoon & 1 teaspoon of honey. My philosophy is that compliance is more important than purism. In other words, could I drink it without honey? Yes. Will I? No. Sugar makes a better lemonade and limeade but drinking that much sugar daily is not healthful. That much honey, on the other hand has vitamins, minerals, trace minerals and beneficial bacteria. (Since it's from a local farm and not from the supermarket). Add to that 3/4 of cup of well water. I drank half and put the rest in the fridge to drink before dinner. I'll let it sit out briefly to take the chill off it before I drink it since really cold drinks don't help the digestion.
